Please accept my heartiest congratulations on your appointment as Director APCSS. I am from India and attended the Exective Course 00-2. I consider my time at the APCSS as one really well spent in academic and strategic pursuit. It helped me orientate my focus towards the Asia Pacific and now keeps me in touch with all strategic issues the world over. I am a Lt Gen now and in command of the Indian Army's strategic 15th Corps in Kashmir, my seventh assignment in COIN operations.
I wish you and the superb staff of APCSS the very best in your mission. No doubt you are doing yeoman service to the international community.

I am an intelligence analysts with the Air Force Intelligence Analysis Agency, I cover PACOM's AOR to support the CSAF and SECAF. I read about your book "China andIndia: Great Power Rivals." I was wondering if there is a way that I can get the book through official channels?
Thank you

The more influence China has in the region, the more its power base grows both fiscally and militarily. This impedes the democratization of the region which is counter productive for the Burmese people and the region since it creates an overdependence on China.

Your closing paragraph captures the essence.
